I have a lot of doubts when talking about the expression "worth it". Maybe my doubts come from the habit I have of using this expression all the time in my native language - as well as many of my Brazilian fellows. We also have songs with this expression! Hopefully, when the other Brazilian students read it, they will remember at least two of them. However, Brazilian habits and music is not the aim of this post! As a result, let`s go back to what really matters!!!
Well, I was trying to look for more information about this expression, when I came across this slogan: "Because you're worth it". That`s L’Oréal's famous advertising slogan. Believe it or not, I couldn`t find any resourses to explain the use of this expression. I was only able to find examples of its uses. L`oreal was one of these examples. I can also mention "Is marrying for money worth it?" or last, but not least "Afghanistan deaths: Is it still worth it?".
I hope this post is worth it for you, worthy learners!
